Role Summary
As the Accounting Representative, you will provide administrative support to the Finance Team and play a hands-on role of supporting the day-to-day management of Sales Tax Exemption Certificates, in addition to supporting the full cycle Accounting function. You will also provide accounts payable, accounts receivable and administrative support to the Finance Team as needed. As the Accounting Representative, you will report directly to the Controller and will work collaboratively with the Finance and Sales Teams.

Role Summary
As the Accounting Representative, you will provide administrative support to the Finance Team and play a hands-on role of supporting the day-to-day management of Sales Tax Exemption Certificates, in addition to supporting the full cycle Accounting function. You will also provide accounts payable, accounts receivable and administrative support to the Finance Team as needed. As the Accounting Representative, you will report directly to the Controller and will work collaboratively with the Finance and Sales Teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain AP inbox, review incoming supplier invoices, and obtain relevant manager approvals
- Manage the Sales Tax Outlook inbox and respond to internal and external inquiries
- Collect, validate, and maintain Sales Tax Certificates and customer account records
- Prepare bi-weekly reports, update dashboards, and maintain state-specific reference guides
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and process period-end journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end processes, including account reconciliations and reporting
- Manage the corporate credit card program, including distributing statements and verifying expenses
- Assist in maintaining and updating departmental policy and procedure manuals
- Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, including invoice entry and payment processing
- Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable, including customer communications and payment application
- Perform additional accounting tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- A certificate or diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Sage 300 is an asset
- Experience working with an automated accounts payable system is an asset
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and customer service skills
